However, I'm a light sleeper and would prefer the external a/c unit to be placed somewhere else. Unfortunately, the only place i have in mind is somewhat close to my Instant Gas HWU. What are the regulations as to minimum clearance between the aircon system I will be installing my a/c system after turn key but would need the weatherproof GPO to be installed by the builder beforehand. I've called several a/c installers (4 in memory) and answers range from 500mm to 2.5m ! I'm located in WA by the way and looking at a reverse cycle ducted system (heating and cooling).
