Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Dec 05, 2014 4:51 pm Hi all, I'm building a house and chose Brivis HX30IXA with add on refrigerative cooling with 2 zones (zone 1 has 5 outlets and zone 2 has 6 outlets). I also have 2 networker thermostats, one in each zone. My understanding is when I turn on Zone 1, I won't need to turn on Zone 2 and the networker thermostats would be able to sense the temperature in my zone 1. Could anyone confirm my understanding? Any comments are welcome. Re: Ducted heater and add on refrigerative cooling and zonin 2Dec 18, 2014 7:32 pm yes and no.controllers work as master and slave not zone 1 and 2. if your running zone 1 on AC it will turn off at the lowest set thermostat. eg if living areas are zone 1 and this is set at 22 deg and zone 2 thermostat is set at 18 deg unit will continue to run until temp reaches 18 deg which may never happen as this zone has no air flow therefore you must ensure the zone not being used is not set either higher if heating or lower if cooling as unit may run continuously waiting for temp drop or raise.
