But do I really have much choice doing it after handover in a double storey home? I could probably ask to have provisions (ducts, outlets, etc) to be put in, but with systems such as Daikin or Actron which you can get zoned areas and so forth would the motors be compatible etc? I don't suppose the whole install can be done after hand over without provisions or ripping up the plaster for the ground floor? I was able to chose the aircon specialist and hand the aircon plans to the builder. Only costs incurred from the builder was the prewiring and any concrete plinths required for the outdoor compressor(s). If the builder won't allow other trades on site, then at the very least get the ducting installed during the build (for a two storey). That, you can get done by the builder and have the 3rd party air con guys come in post-handover to complete. You need to have the dropper ducting done for a two storey during the build as there are penetrations in the first floor concrete slab, and if you have something like floortech flooring, you may have ducting running parallel to the slab. Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8995 How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5944 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house. Does this placement sound reasonable to you? Also, I plan to have 6 zones I think. Living room… 0 0 |
