Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered already - I was not able to find anything.
Does the installation of whirly birds do much to help with the heat in the roof space? I am in the early stages of building a house and was considering having a couple installed if they have any benefits - providing of course they are not going to get blown away in a cyclone and introduce water into the roof cavity! Air Cell insulation is standard as part of the build, so whirly bird may not have much effect?? Might be better to upgrade the insulation in the roof and introduce a bit of insulation into the west facing walls?
I am in north queensland, so long and humid summers and not much winter (can sometimes get to single digits, but only overnight). The roof will be colourbond and most likely a lightish colour.
Thanks for any advice!
Cheers,
Dale
