Lately the red indicator on the solar monitor of the Vulcan vs 160 is either pulsating/ permanent red when the day is 26 degrees or more. The manual and a search on the internet does not provide much info except to a reference to a temperature sensor fault. Tech support from Rheem states that it could be a default pump and it will cost around $500 to fix. It is not reassuring to note that a product that is 4 years old could be costly to fix.
