Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Sep 09, 2014 11:26 am Hi Everyone, I have just recently finished a new build of my house but am currently thinking i should have increased the insulation in my roof which seems to catch all the train and traffic noise from our highway about 1km away. Currently only foil sarking under the Tin and R3.5 glasswool normal batts. My current plan is that i am going to install soundscreen plus R2 batts between the rafters and then a foil foam insulation like the link below to hold it all in place http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Etherm-Shed- ... 1121966244 Once that is done i was going to use half the insulation to double up the existing and then replace the other half with bradford Gold R3.5 in the rest of it. I was after some opinions on if anyone thinks that installing insulation between rafters is a good idea? and will this approach make much difference?
