Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jul 09, 2014 5:57 pm Hi there Looking for Aircon advice/tips/pitfalls! Considering house designs at present, and whether to include aircon or not. Leaning toward not including with builder and getting my own. Builders presenting a Fujitsu at $12.5k. Had quotes for mitis and daikin 12.5kW so far at just under $10k. House size is 210m2. Considering 4 or 5 zones but would prefer 4, with multiple outlets in kitchen / dining/ living. Zone 1 = master, Zone 2 = study and theatre, Zone 3 = Kitchen/Dining/Living, Zone 4 = two spare rooms) Probably looking at - Daikin (tried and true?) - Samsung (newer to market good competition?) - Mitsubishi (Popular where Iām from in NZ and good heavy industry rep?) Happy to hear any feedback on how you sized your unit and whether its operating like you hoped and anh tips for installation. Is there anything special that needs consideration in house design if you want your outlets central in the room, or aligned with your lighting plan, or can they work close to corners etc? Thanks for reading! Re: Which Aircon? 2Jul 12, 2014 10:40 pm I posted this on another thread: I highly recommend talking to Coldflow Heating & Cooling, I can not recommend them any higher. http://www.coldflow.net.au/ They have been very helpful to myself so far (yet to install) and a family member used them to install refrigerated cooling. Salesmen aren't pushy, but very knowledgable and helpful, he was defiantly there to help me get what I wanted & needed. Re: Which Aircon? 3Jul 13, 2014 11:39 pm Yep Daikin is tried and proven, some people would say your paying for the brand more-so but they make great equipment, you can also get an option to remotely control it from your Phone for when your coming home from work. Great unit. Agree with Joker. More flexible than any other A/c. Downside is they cost more. A lot of posts on here about Daikin Vs Actron. Just do a search.
