Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jun 26, 2014 6:25 pm Hi, We are having a pellet boiler based hydronic heating system installed at the moment. The pipes have been roughed in but the lagging is not fully covering the pipes. Is this something that gets fixed after pressure testing or the installers should fix the lagging and make sure it completely covers the pipes right now? Also a question on timing of some works - we are replacing a timber floor (ending up with polished boards) and currently the bearers and joists are all exposed awaiting the new floor going down. Should the supply pipes for the heater panel come up now and essentially poke up in the air and the builder install the floor around them or should the builder lay the floor and then the pipes be brought up? This is asked because underfloor access is going to be extremely difficult once the floor is laid. Thanks, Dale. https://outandabout.com.au Re: Hydronic heating system - When do pipes get lagging? 2Jun 29, 2014 12:37 pm the pipes should be installed whilst you have access to the bearers and joists. Lagging all pipes if using radiators, although if in conditioned space maybe not. What sort of pellet boiler did you buy? What was the pricing? Good luck with the hydronic heating.
