Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jun 23, 2014 3:49 pm Hi I'm looking at getting ducted gas heating with the option of adding the integrated cooling down the track (we already have a couple of split systems we will do for now). The space is the original part of my house, with 3 beds, lounge room and bathroom (extension is flat roof and already has heating and cooling sorted). I'm getting quotes for both Brivis and Braemer. Does anyone have either of these systems with the cooling added? Any experiences you'd like to share? Thanks in advance. If the unit is to small they wont be able to adapt an adequate cooling unit onto it. Also if you have cooling added it is also a good idea to upgrade the duct size so if they were doing say 6' vents it would go to 8' vents. Brands are a much of a muchness you get what you pay for kinda... Beamer are ok units cheaper construction and basic control system spare parts are a bit cheaper also if it does break down in the future. Brivis depends what model you go for. if it is a smaller house there 2 Piece wombat system is really good it is there base model and is only a med efficiency unit but would be fine for your house. I would stay away from the Starpro systems they have had a fair few problems. Lennox have a good product if you are looking at a high efficacy system it would be worth getting quotes of them also. Brivis also have a great customer service department and are easy to get along with.
