Hi all, I have been looking at freestanding Radiant heaters and have narrowed it down to these two at our local Mr Stoves in Albury.
Nectre Mk11
Now I like the large window and look of the Nectre and apparently it lights really easy. It is also cheaper.
Quadra-Fire 2100 Milennium
The Quadra Fire looks good too but is more expensive. However it is meant to be much more efficient but is also meant to be harder to light.
I had read a user on another forum complaining about Nectre saying -
"If you don't mind cutting wood all winter it's good but you can't shut it down enough and it inevitably goes out especially when it's cold. The problem with it is that for it to heat the room it has to be red hot and thus burns wood like a steam train burns coal."
I know this is only one persons opinion so I am very interested on other peoples opinions on both of these.
I know there are a vast amount of other good heaters but if we could keep the topic to these heaters it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
