The power points required for this unit will be quite large. There are electrical standards to adhere to in terms of sizing the cable and how they terminate it. Generally you don't need to provide anything to the aircon installers as they will run their own circuit on the board and wire it back to the indoor/outdoor units. The only thing you should do is provide 3Phase power... makes for less stress. Building with Jandson Homes - Eclipse 18. http://adgnetworks.blogspot.com/ Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 4Feb 20, 2014 10:34 am Its a double storey house. Its this house and has a bit of void in it. http://www.urbanedgehomes.com.au/pdf/fl ... orplan.pdf As far as power goes I think I just read specs, it says Power Supply (V / Ph / Hz) Outdoor 230V / 1Ph + N / 50Hz Indoor 230V / 1Ph + N / 50Hz So, I think I am sorted out half way. Any views if single phase unit will be enough? Do you think we can place outdoor unit on either side of house? Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 5Feb 20, 2014 11:13 am I would be getting the builder to run the ducts then. You won't be able to get the ducting through once the house is complete. I think you need to start getting quotes from installers. Understand where they are looking to put the units and then just get the builder to put an isolator, it's easier for the installer to connect to that than the DB board. DON'T FORGET THE RETURN AIR !!!!!!! Get it designed into the plans or you may have an unsightly grill in your ceiling! Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 6Feb 20, 2014 11:23 am Crazyk I would be getting the builder to run the ducts then. You won't be able to get the ducting through once the house is complete. Why not? Yeah its definitely easier to do it pre linings but not impossible to put in ducts at any stage. Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 7Feb 20, 2014 11:32 am If you have solid floor truss then it will be impossible to run the ducts. On the other hand, I'm not sure I can see how you are going to run ducts after handover to all those rooms in only 300mm ceiling cavity that is fully lined. The duct alone will be close to 300mm. You may prove me wrong, but even with the steel web truss it's a squeeze getting them through. Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 10Feb 20, 2014 12:52 pm Guys can we consider post from 2007 still valid? If that is valid, I am probably in trouble, builder has taken out everything related to gas ducted heating not sure if they were going to provide any ducts downstairs or just on stair. They do not change if after contract. Any other options? Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 12Feb 23, 2014 9:33 am Guys as this is not possible after handover, any thoughts on builder provided Braemer brand? Has anyone used or have any thoughts, views on Braemer 4 star heating with integrated cooling? Or Braemer Reverse cycle ducted cooling? Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 14Feb 27, 2014 11:22 pm macmaz Guys as this is not possible after handover, any thoughts on builder provided Braemer brand? Has anyone used or have any thoughts, views on Braemer 4 star heating with integrated cooling? Or Braemer Reverse cycle ducted cooling? Its not impossible if you can have the builder install the ducts. I know for example Porter Davis will run ducts if you are adamant on installing heating/cooling post handover for example. You just need to ensure that the ducts can handle heating and cooling and that the 'design' of the ducts are correct i.e. they are laid out in accordance to the zoning plan that you intend to have. You'll then need to have an external powerpoint for the outdoor unit and you may also want to get the builder to run the copper pipe between where the outdoor and indoor unit will sit. It is admittedly a lot of 'prep' work, but its certainly not impossible Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 15Feb 28, 2014 2:27 pm Serenity_Now macmaz Guys as this is not possible after handover, any thoughts on builder provided Braemer brand? I asked them if there will be that option, seems like they have given me option to have ducts laid for add on cooling. Will that be same for reverse cycle do you think? On the sidelines has anyone heard of Livezy? Apparantly, they can provide Livezy reverse cycle airconditioning. Any thoughts? Third option they have given us is to go with breamer 4 star heating and lennaux add on cooling. Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 16Feb 28, 2014 7:39 pm Livesy??? Doesn't even come up under a google search. Well I couldn't find it anyway. Why would you go with 2 different suppliers to supply the one item each when a number of suppliers do both. As said before we have Actron and no problems at all. Heating and cooling. As said before we have Actron and no problems at all. Heating and cooling. http://www.livezi.com.au/ Sry Spelling mistake. Website looks amateurish. But The videos definitely look promising. Also ours is a double storey house 39sq and a bit of void, I feel zoning is very important. I thought this may be better achieved with Reverse Cycle zoning. Livezi seems to do zoning as well. Funny how they mention our competitors pointing competitors on their own site. Crazyk, as you mentioned earlier I am leaning towards Lennox option. But just thinking if reverse cycle with zoning may be more efficient. Just bear in mind this is http://www.urbanedgehomes.com.au/VIC/ka ... plans.aspx 4-39 double storey house in Melbourne. Re: ACTRON ESP+ Prerequirsites from builder 19Mar 03, 2014 12:07 pm I believe a dedicated unit will be more efficient than the add on. The other good thing about dedicated reverse cooling is that you will probably see higher air flow rates than the add on. The add on is also a compromise but still good. This is only making my decision difficult . As for reverse cycle Livezi brand not much is found on the web and Lennox is good add on but you are saying reverse cycle is good in comparison. Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20410 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9565 |
