Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 28, 2014 9:06 am Hi all,
I'm wondering if anybody knows of a bathroom heating lamp that you can get without the fan or lamps. I see IXL do a 2 lamp version without the fan but not a 4 lamp version. Of course, it needs to be good quality and made to last. Cheers. Re: BATHROOM HEATING LAMPS WITH NO FAN 2Jan 28, 2014 10:09 am For a while Mitre 10 had a plug in heat lamp that you could mount on the wall, which actually worked very well. I guess because you could mount it on the wall, you could mount it so much lower, therefore closer to people that allowed them to actually feel the heat from it. If you have high ceilings in the house, chances are is that they'll also be high in the bathroom as well. Pretty much all display homes I've been in have disabled the heat lamps in the bathrooms, so go to some open homes in your area, and see if you can feel any warmth from the lamps if the bathroom in them happens to have a high ceiling. I'm thinking of getting another one of them in our new house build, and using standard exhaust fans to take the steam out. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. Re: BATHROOM HEATING LAMPS WITH NO FAN 4Jan 28, 2014 1:30 pm Thanks guys. I found one in the end - Mercator have a single one that you can put into your ceiling. And I imagine it would be simple for an electrician to put two in and wire them to a single switch. Cheers. 2 4463 My home office is hot with computer equipment running virtually 18 hours a day.
