Had to replace the motor under warranty about 8 years ago, but all good since then. Very happy with it. Cheers Matt Re: Is brivis air con good 3Jan 12, 2014 8:48 am Garagemahl are you talking about an evaporative cooling system or reverse cycle? Reason I ask is the OP is talking reverse cycle and I don't think Brivis had reverse cycle 12 years ago. Ducted gas heating yes, add on refrigerate cooling yes I think, evaporative cooling yes. But reverse cycle if I recall was marketed as Carrier (who owned Brivis), up until they sold Brivis to GWA Group circa 2010 when it became Brivis reverse cycle. Re: Is brivis air con good 5Jan 14, 2014 11:46 am B Star, yes I know that, see very last line. What I was getting at is the poster above said they have had one for 12 years, was just double checking if they were talking about reverse cycle or evap, I suspect evap, wheras the OP was asking reverse cycle. Re: Is brivis air con good 8Jan 15, 2014 7:27 pm Eelman Yes no one seems to know much about their rc machines so it could be a risky investment Yes and no, as I said Brivis got their RC products during the time they were owned by Carrier, who are no slouches on this area. So will probably be ok. How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5898 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
