Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 27, 2013 2:37 pm I've heard from a common friend who has ducted an air purification system installed all throughout her house. Since I can't talk to the person who had it, might as well ask it here. Is it expensive having that than a stand alone unit? is it advisable and more energy efficient? Re: Installing air purification around the house 2Dec 19, 2013 12:08 pm I'm not sure what you are referring to. I wrote a blog about trying to reuse the air in the ceiling and discovered a company called Ventis that does it (see my blog at http://onsolution.com.au/blog/2012/ventis-fresh-air/). The system is relatively expensive (thousands of dollars) but you are getting the benefits of: - "free" heating top up in winter (this won't totally replace heaters, but will decrease the power bill) - "free" cooling during parts of the day in summer (especially late in the day) - fresh air at least once a day - reduced humidity in winter so less damp issues It's a great idea. I have since heard of similar systems. Re: Installing air purification around the house 4Dec 20, 2013 12:39 pm shanevan I'm not sure what you are referring to. I think this is somewhat similar, my friend instead of buying an air purifier unit, she installed an air purification all around the house, i think its more expensive that's why i might as well choose to buy a unit for each of our room. I've searched for some products which are affordable enough like coway, honeywell, ionmax etc.. but i'll read your article also... sounds interesting! thanks!
