I wrote a blog about trying to reuse the air in the ceiling and discovered a company called Ventis that does it (see my blog at http://onsolution.com.au/blog/2012/ventis-fresh-air/). The system is relatively expensive (thousands of dollars) but you are getting the benefits of: - "free" heating top up in winter (this won't totally replace heaters, but will decrease the power bill) - "free" cooling during parts of the day in summer (especially late in the day) - fresh air at least once a day - reduced humidity in winter so less damp issues It's a great idea.
