We're planning a new house (like most people here :p) and would be interested to know how difficult (or impossible) placing a split system air conditioning unit would be each bedroom here:
Any ideas?

Pipes can be ran through the roof and/or in pipe duct, as can the drain. There are some great pump solutions available on todays market which can offer a lot more flexibility in installations although adds to costs. Concealing pipes and drains within walls sounds great, until you have a service issue. Even something as simple as a rattling pipe can turn into a nightmare. Think refrigerant or drain leak and that idea should start to be reconsidered, although for some installations there may not be many options and may be your only choice. If you are considering additional systems elsewhere in the house and plan to run 3 or more at the one time, whole house ducted should be considered for both initial outlay and particularly ongoing running costs. 2 2529 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 7941 3 10212 |
