Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Feb 16, 2013 1:20 pm Hi all - I'm hoping to draw upon the collective wisdom and experience of the forum... I'm building a 30 square, four bedroom house with a pretty big open-plan living space (kitchen/living/dining/study are all merged together) in the outer south-east of Melbourne. I have a pretty reasonable quote in front of me for an LG 15.5kW multi-head system which meets most of my technical requirements. I also have a less-than-ideal quote in front of me for an addon Brivis cooling system, which doesn't seem to meet many of my technical requirements. What I need help with is finding reliable, reputable installers to provide me with a quote for installation of the full system. Brands I've considered so far include Actron (can't find a single installer in Melbourne), Brivis (very limiting), LG (looks promising), Daikin (no luck finding an installer so far), Mitsubishi Heavy (extremely complex range) and Fujitsu. I'm open to alternative suppliers though. Here are my technical requirements if you're interested: - ability to cool just the master bedroom at night - no "dump" zone - return air ducts in each zone (efficiency preference) - three zones minimum, four preferred - inverter (preferred) - quiet (both inside and out) If you can suggest somebody to quote and install the system I'd be very grateful. I'd rather not delve into a complex brand vs. brand debate just now, we have a bunch of those threads already and they seem inconclusive for the most part. Re: Multi-head split system 2Feb 16, 2013 1:39 pm Hi Lurgen. We are also in the outer south east of Melbourne. We are looking at buying Samsung Wi-Fi multi head units and a couple stand alone units - all for the same reasons as you. We want the technical flexibility etc. We will buy the units and just need someone to install them. We are struggling to find someone who will do the install only for a decent price. My husband can run all the piping etc we just need someone to fit off on either end. Interested to see the responses here as we too need someone Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Multi-head split system 3Feb 16, 2013 6:54 pm If looking at Actron ring this number they should be able to help.
