Hi All
Just got some DGH installed in Canberra - Braemer with 2 zones (7 and 6 vents) and 2 spectrolink controllers.
The problem is that the heating is pumping out of the common zone, but the second zone I am not convinced if it is working. Hardly (if any) air is detectable from any of the second zone vents. I can blow harder!
I am holding off on the final payment ($500 from $5200), and the installer (a big burly bloke of course) is coming tomorrow to hava a fiddle, hoping to get paid afterwards. Their argument is that it is fine - a big house, so by the time the air gets to the second zone - the pressure would be less. I can blow harder than all of the second zone vents - and one of them is right under the heating unit.
The installer seemed very experienced, and the company is a salesman who subcontrats to installers over weekends.
Question: Is there an acceptable minimum flow, how can I measure it. How can I get a second opinion - can Braemer help me out? Is it acceptable for me to contact another company for a second opinion, and how much woudl that cost. Any guru's in Canberra?
MarkDHC - need your advice (or any one else here).
