Daikin or Hitachi

Can someone provide a feedback on these ducted aircon units?

1. Daikin Premium Inverter FDYQ160 - (1) 16.0kw (6HP) 1 phase, Reverse Cycle, Dry Mode, Ventilate
Daikin 14.1kW High Static Inverter Ducted System. This single phase unit has a cooling capacity ranging from 6.2kW to 15.0kW and a heating capacity from 6.2kW to 18.0kW.

2. Hitachi Inverter RPI-7.0/RAS-7HVRN - (1) 8.1-20kw (7HP) 1 phase

3. Daikin Premium Inverter FDYQ180 - (1) 10.8-20kw (7HP) 3 phase
Daikin 18kW High Static Inverter Ducted System. This three phase unit has a cooling capacity ranging from 10.8kW to 20.0kW and a heating capacity from 12.0kW to 22.4kW.

Not really sure which one to choose. Been told that for option 3 we'll have to sign "noise waiver" as it might be louder than the other two.

Thanks
Try an Actron. Dearer but much more flexible.
Any reason you have gone for these two brands?

We had Carrier, Kelvinator and Daikin in Darwin...I'd go for the Daikin

In Alice Springs we had DL (offshoot of LG) and Mitsubishi units...both seemed to work well.

In Perth we have Fujitsus, work well in heat, haven't used the for cooling yet.

Been quoted by Ford and Doonan these three units. We asked for ducted aircon and gave them our plans. That's what they came back with. It has 8 zones, 10 outlets and 2 return air grilles. Not sure about Actron though as previous post suggested. All quoted aircons were in $15,5-17k range. So we're not sure which one would be better. Don't really want huge unit sitting outside but need something that can handle the house in 40 degree heat.
The main difference between these units and the Actron is that an Actron unit can be zoned down to one room, dependent on the model chosen, at a time thus making it more efficient. That means only having the zones on that are actually occupied at the time, not heating/cooling unused areas.
We are heating/cooling 36sq. Didn't bat an eyelid in recent 40 deg days. At times was even shut down.
There is some rule about zones too - ie you can't zone down too far. If you have 5 or 6 zones I think you might need to have at least 2 or 3 on.

Not sure if this applies to all models.
We spent $15000 putting a Hitatchi system in our house 9 years ago....to date we have spent $3000 on repairs over the last two years.... It always stops working just before a heat wave.

The parts that we need circuit boards and motors are no longer made by the firm that Hitatchi had make them (that firm went into receivership) and there is no customer support.

At the moment ours is going due to canobilised parts of other Hitatchi's.
