Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Aug 30, 2012 11:12 am Hello All, Meeting with the builder on Saturday to discuss our quote, so far we have been quoted: 5 Star Heating Option with Zone Motor ILO of 3 Star Heating with No Zones. Supply & Install 14.9kw Refrigerated Cooling to 10 Outlets - Including 3 phase power - plus XA Fan - Additional Zone Motor and 516 Module - Upgrade to larger ductwork. By read of this we are looking at three zones? Also what size heating and cooling should we looking at? I'm concerned about spending $11k and finding that the aircon is not powerful enough. Cheers! Re: Heater/Cooling Size 34sq home - Melbourne 2Aug 30, 2012 11:44 am 30Kwatt heater, You aircond will be designed to do 50% of house hence the need for zoning when its very hot. It really depends on how good your house is oriented. You can go up to 18kwatt. But the trick is to spend the time and money making your house cooler rather than getting a bigger aircond. You aircond can actually work better if slightly under dimensioned. If it cycles to often it is very inefficient and will cost you heaps to run. 0 1335 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size.
