OK, point taken heat_crime If you live in (for only one example) a double story house and the upstairs part reaches a temperature before the downstairs part, shutting all the vents may cause wind noise in the other vents in the house and/or put the heater unit's fan under strain. This is why they use all the "silly programmers, controllers, or "burner strength adjusters". OK, I guess I used to put my fan under strain. Still lasted a long time though. heat_crime Also not to mention the fuel consumption that the "silly ...."burner strength adjusters" could potentially save. So, did you use a lot of oil in America? I didn't use any oil. I was talking about natural gas. Yes, we use a lot of it, it's cheap as chips and in abundant supply. I can see where you might want to conserve oil or LPG, or anything really if costly or in short supply. I have my doubts about how much over the life of a systems usage you might save in natural gas. But, It could be worth it. Never seen any data though on savings vs cost of hardware/electronics. I know, I know us Americans are a bunch of wasters. But who's wasting what with all the fancy electronics?
