hi,
those of you who know me will know of the struggles we had with our builder going down into liquidation during our build. We are now in the house after that saga and I am concerned about the lack of space around the outside AC unit.
Basically, we were to have a 15kw Daikin with a depth of 320m located on the side of our house next to rainwater tank. The distance to fence from house is 900m.
At the last minute we were asked to upgrade to 20kw system as the AC installers advised that the 15kw system would not be sufficient. Now this unit has much larger dimensions (depth of 765m). Basically it is installed with full clearence on the top and one side. The other three sides have miniscule gaps (5m at the most) between fence, house and rainwater tank respectively. I dont know how they managed to get it in there for the life for me.
can anyone with some experience comment if this sort of tight fit is okay for the long term?
The ultimate irony is that the other side of the house has a 4.5m clearence to the boundary fence...
