Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation Re: Does anyone have a Stovax wood heater?? 2Oct 10, 2013 7:09 pm OMG Yes I made the BAD mistake of buying one 4 months ago. Awful experience, the heater goes out after 5 hours so the house is cold - but WORSE is that after less than 12 burns all the bottom fire bricks have imploded!!! No warranty from the retailer, no service re short burn times (we were advised 8-10 hours burn time when we purchased) now we are being told not to contact either retailer or distributor! What an appalling mess!!! DO NOT EVER BUY A STOVAX. Re: Does anyone have a Stovax wood heater?? 3Oct 10, 2013 7:10 pm ~steph~ This is a long shot, but does anyone have the Stovax woodheater? We are looking at the inbuilt Studio 1 or 2. Link to them is here ->http://www.thefireplace.com.au/stovax_wood_heaters.html#mid If you do have one, how do you find it? Do you find it heats well? Are you happy with? and the ultimate question, if you had your time over would you get it again? Re: Does anyone have a Stovax wood heater?? 4Oct 10, 2013 7:19 pm NEVER again! We have a STUDIO 3, it goes out after a short time, really only decorative, DOES NOT HEAT WELL. However, the WORST is that all the bottom fire bricks have shattered after less than 12 burns (only purchased 4 months ago), no warranty and now we have an unsafe heater, cannot believe the awful customer service. We have asked both distributor and retailer in Mornington to fix the problem without success. Now we are being threatened with legal action for speaking the truth. DON'T BUY STOVAX, or even think of buying from these people in Mornington. NEVER EVER HAD SUCH BAD SERVICE AND BOUGHT SUCH AN AWFUL PRODUCT. 0 1418 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi everyone Question about Brevis gas heating undergound - was recently installed by previous owners (<1 year old) but live in a relatively large house - 4 bdr - and only… 0 5385 We are tossing up between a Jarrahdale radiant wood fire (the Pioneer) and a convection wood fire (Innovator or Countryman) but cannot decide on which type of wood fire is… 0 5383 |
