Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Aug 11, 2006 2:08 pm Hi,
Can any 1 pls advice me if I am able to upgrade my current central heater to include an automatic reignition of the pilot light. I notice my friend's new heater have this function. Its just a press of the button, can reignite the extinguished pilot light. If I have this function it saves me from going up the roof all the time just to re-light the pilot light which is very troublesome. You can difinetly upgrade the whole unit , it looksd like you had a bit of trouble with your current one , try the Me Brivis unit a bit more effecinecy Re: Brivis Wombat-Central Heating unit 3Aug 09, 2007 3:02 pm Hi RMT,
I don't think that you can install an automatic reignition on such an old unit. Almost every heater made in the past few years includes the function you speak of. Even better nowadays is that some heaters don't even have a pilot light, they automatically ignite the gas as needed, thus the extra efficiency.
