Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Feb 01, 2012 5:01 am Hi All, We are building the Kallara by PD and have a concern about the ducted heating. I've been informed that the heater used will be the Brivis 2P Wombat 20. From what i've heard around, it's not big enough to handle 11 outlets and it apparently chews up the gas like there is no tomorrow. Can someone in the know please advise me on which unit they reccomend. Cheers Re: Which Heater To Use 2Feb 01, 2012 9:18 am The brivis 2p is a 3 star heater which is fairly inefficient. A better option for the brivis brand is the HX23I which is a 5 star unit. Capable of heating approx 180-200sq. If you are worried about the size, you can upgrade to the HX30I (30kw's) It is best to get a heat calculation done to be sure what size you need. Good Luck James Re: Which Heater To Use 3Feb 01, 2012 10:59 am Thanks for that James, I should have been a bit more clearer. Our house is 240m2 and we will be having 11 outlets. We also have 9' ceilings ...hope this gives you a better indication of what I need. Sorry, the 240m2 is living area only Cheers Re: Which Heater To Use 5Feb 01, 2012 3:41 pm We haven't gotten that far yet...not in council yet. I was told today that I should get the breamar th430. Does it sound right to you or would you recommend something else. I want something reliable and efficient. My misses has the heater on flat out I'm winter, she's.always cold. Thanks Re: Which Heater To Use 7Feb 06, 2012 9:12 pm Hi clubbi4, It's difficult to confirm the appropriate size of heating unit required without full details of your home, the design and the application. I'd recommend that you make contact with PDH again and possibly arrange consultation with their nominated Installation company. Brivis Climate Systems manufacture a full range of Gas Ducted Heater models, including higher efficiency 4 (4.2 - 4.4) Star & 5 (5.6 - 5. Star models....it would be worthwhile discussing these options with PDH or the Installation company. Regards. 0 1341 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi everyone Question about Brevis gas heating undergound - was recently installed by previous owners (<1 year old) but live in a relatively large house - 4 bdr - and only… 0 1564 That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17871 |
