Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Oct 05, 2011 9:13 am Hi, I have received the following quotes for supply and installation of an evaporative cooling unit to 6 outlets. Breezair Harmony EXH170 $4956 Braemar LCB450 $4530 Coolair CPL850 $4043 The salesman advised that the Breezair was by far the preferred unit due to it being much quieter inside and outside the house. I have a very limited budget so was initially going to go with the cheapest option but for an extra $1000 I'm wondering whether I should go for the better unit. Happy for any advice on the units above, or any other recommended brands. Marg Re: Ducted Evap Cooling quote advice? 4Oct 06, 2011 11:11 am i would go a braemar over the coolair for an extra 500 but you have to work out if it's worth another 500 for a quieter unit which is rarely an issue

It's quiet cheap to run and the most important is it keeps the whole house cool. A bank is a place that will lend you money only if you can prove that you don't need it... Re: Ducted Evap Cooling quote advice? 8Oct 19, 2011 6:27 pm Hi, my Son just installed the Braemar LCB550, in our house on the weekend. It's very quiet and very cold I wont tell you how much it cost, you would cry. We bought the unit at cost and the installation was free. We are very happy with it. I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin.
