Especiallz if you have these downlights. I really prefer the bats. You really could run a trial and insulate one room, but the problem is that getting it done by someone might not be much more expensive than doing the whole job yourself. Funny you mention a trial, that is exactly what I am going to do this weekend. 2 bags of R3.5's or even maybe 3 of 5's over the main bedroom, so about $70-$110. Electrics not too much of a problem for me as I am electrically trained so know to keep the down lights clear.
