Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 20, 2008 7:39 pm We have a Daikin 6.5hp inverter rc aircon which will be installed in our house but only want to use it on extreme heat/cold days. We increased the R value of the walls, ceiling and thermal properties of north and n/w windows to improve thermal efficiency.
My question is ... has anyone had experience with Canon gas heaters (Canterbury - 4 stars) and can you recommend an alternative or better source of gas heater under 4k. We want to use this as an alternative source of heating in the living areas. Cheers Re: Gas heaters 2Jan 28, 2008 10:02 am 4k is plenty for a gas log fire. The most efficient one, 5.5 stars, is Archer http://www.thefireplace.com.au/archer.htm. It's so efficient that the exhaust pipe can be PVC. The price published on the Net is $3200, 30% more than a comparable Rinnai, Masport, Canterbury, etc. My father rode a camel, I drive a car, my son flies in a jetliner, his son will ride a camel.Saudi saying Re: Gas heaters 4Jan 31, 2008 10:43 pm kristofw 4k is plenty for a gas log fire.
