Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Feb 27, 2011 7:38 pm Hi We have installed LED downlights throughout our house. I understand these don't get as hot as halogens. Should they still have downlight covers? My builder says they aren't needed and he will make sure they are clear of any insulation. If he is cutting holes in the insulation so it isn't in contact is it reducing it's efficiency? If we have the covers can you just lay it over the covers-is this how it works? Thanks Donna Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11273 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6191 |
