Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Feb 01, 2011 10:55 am Hi Everyone I currently have evap cooling throughout my home but I am not overly impressed by it to be completely honest so I am looking for options in regard to cooling. I would have liked to install ducted refridgerated cooling throughout NOW but at the moment it is not an option due to having spent so much on the house already since taking possession of it. Unfortunately I dont really like the 'look' of the split systems on the wall but having said that it is probably going to be my only option for the moment. I am wondering what size system I would need especially in my main living area which is quite large. Any options or advice would be welcomed. Thankyou everyone Re: Cooling Options 2Feb 05, 2011 7:02 pm GTI, Where are you located? This will affect your heat load calculations. Other factors - aspect - window size - ceiling height etc etc. As a rough guide if you work on 150w/m2 (watts per metre squared) this will give you an indication of how many kW (kilowatts) Example 50m2 x 0.15 = 7.5kW. Depending on where you are this may be less / more but gives you an idea. NEVER undersize an inverter You get what you pay for!
