I also have Bonaire in my current home - at least 10 years and have never had it break down. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Even tonight which is fairly humid it is quite pleasant inside with our air con on! If you are SOR I can PM you the store we got ours from just end of last year - they were brilliant!! cheers Re: Bonaire vs Breezeair (Evap) 4Jan 28, 2011 6:34 pm Breezeair uses a centrifugal fan - pumps air. Bonaire (and pretty much every other manufacturer) uses an axial fan - like a propeller blowing down. I doubt very much that any axial fan would be quieter than a centrifugal but depending whether they are quoting 'sound power' levels or 'sound pressure' levels. I always look at sound power levels - some are tricky and just put "SP" Both are ultimately reputable brands and provided they are sized correctly, will work - Breezeair for me personally are better. You get what you pay for! Re: Bonaire vs Breezeair (Evap) 5Feb 01, 2011 4:12 pm Just had Braemar Evaporative Air Conditioning installed in our home and its very quiet. The two brands I went for was Braemar and Breezeair. Breezeair alot quieter - different fan than the others. But alot more in price. Braemar is quiet, standard fan system, same company as Breezeair - Price is reasonable. Sam |
