Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 26, 2010 1:41 pm Hi All I've got quotations from two big companies in WA. Both gave good quotes. Coolbreeze comes with an Automatic Exhaust flab install on the ceiling that do not require any further openings on window(s). This is an important for security feature I guess. On the hand, Breezeair installer claimed that they could installed a similar flab but it won't be sufficient should we run the fan at full speed - even for any brand- and will still need to open some windows a bit. Q1:Anyone out there have experience on the former? And running with that automatic exhaust with windows fully closed? Q2: I will be installing heater gas point (for winter), and therefore vent will be cut out for circulation purpose. Will that also acts as exhaust for the evaporative air. (I will probably put in a whirly bird up the roof too). Any help appreciated Re: Evaporative Cooling - Automatic Exhaust flab & similar i 2Nov 26, 2010 2:44 pm Flab! LOL! Do you have breezelock on windows? I'm also going to have to pick an evap aircon soon. I've heard lots of people say Coolbreeze is crap (as in breakdowns) but I think if you extend the warranty to 5yrs you should have too much of a worry. I know theres nearly $1k price diff between brands. Re: Evaporative Cooling - Automatic Exhaust flab & similar i 3Nov 26, 2010 3:30 pm Oops It should be FLAP!! Surprisingly, my quote for Breezair is cheaper than Coolbreeze by $300 (approx) Coolbreeze quote was from an established chain. While the Breezeair is from an established family business. I've was at the latter shop and had a demo of the Breezeair centrifugal fan. It was very quiet. Braemar axial fan was slightly noisier but not as noisy as Coolair. The Braemar quote from the same latter shop was $200 cheaper. ps: my quote was for a big unit with 11 outlets. From what you've written with quietness and price I'd get the Breezeair. I need a 9/10 outlet. And your Q2 - no it wont.
