Hi All,
Can anyone recommend some installers for Actron in Perth, preferably NoR. Looking for approx a 20kW system with 8 zones, with individual temperature control for each zone.
Thanks
firstbuild.

Based on the comments from one installer the difference may be about $3k. At this stage we haven't made our decision, but we can forward you the details of the company we may be going with and they should be able to quote both options To give you an idea of the cost of an ESP system similar to the one you are after we found this on another forum where they are talking about prices. They are over East but they are probably about on the mark. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ActronAir ESP Plus 15kW - SRD151C/SRV151E - 8 Zones (4 bedrooms on their own zone + 1 lounge + 1 study + 1 play/sitting + 1 family/kitchen) - 2 controllers – 7 day programmable (1 ground floor + 1 top floor) - Outdoor unit slabs provided by installer - 50mm min insulation on ducting - Bigger duct/diffuser for play/sitting - All for $11,200 - Installs in Dec 1st week "I've got about 6 quotes for the 14.5kw Actron ESP Plus in Brisbane with 8 outlets and 5 zones. Prices range from 11,100 up to 13,700 for the same thing" Note this was for Brisbane, but others talked about pricing from $11k- Re: Actron in Perth 8Nov 28, 2010 10:04 am Hi firstbuild Wouldn't mind to get the info in a PM as well - curious as to the difference in cost for the same product... One thing you will need to make sure that they guarantee a clean and neat job without damage to you ceilings or beams and will not leave rubbish behind e.g. plaster cuts. We installed a ducted AC in our old house and the installers did a crap job. Cut ceiling beam without telling us, no bracing or anything, lifted the ceilings and cracked the cornice joints - it looked messy and all the ceilings had dirt and hand prints. As well if they do damage the roof tile (provided you have a tiled roof) they will have to tell you so you don't end up with water damage... don't ever assume that they will do the right thing... Yes please pm me the company details and I will get them to quote. Much appreciated. Re: Actron in Perth 10Dec 08, 2010 11:16 am Hi guys, we just had our Actron ESP Plus ystem installed yesterday. All went well and pretty happy with the results. However, just one issue which i'll need to discuss with the installer later, is that when running on just one zone/outlet the air output coming through the outlet is still pretty strong. I thought the variable fan feature was supposed to reduce the airflow to suit the number of openings, but even when running on the lowest fan setting i found the airflow to be abit strong. Question 1: is it possible to adjust the "low" fan speed to run even lower? Question 2: is the variable fan feature a "seamless" variable or "stepped" variable? What i mean is that, does the unit vary it's fan speed from the three preset speeds (high-mid-low) or can it vary itself anywhere in between as well? 12 March 2010 - Land titles received 3 April 2010 - Signed building contract 14 April 2010 - Prestart 28 April 2010 - Loan approved 30 June 2010 - Slab completed 27 August 2010 - Brickwork completed 22 September 2010 - Roofing completed 30 September 2010 - Internal walls plastered 12 October 2010 - Lock Up 19 November 2010 - PCI 26 November 2010 - Handover 29 December 2010 - Moved In https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32584 Re: Actron in Perth 11Dec 08, 2010 1:08 pm With the Actron Air ESP+ the system needs to be commissioned. During commissioning the system will need to be put through a learning mode. When completed, the system fan will wind all the way down only when 'ESP fan' is chosen. To do this press the 'fan control' until all fan speeds are lit up and 'Esp' is displayed on the screen. The fan speed will be completely variable and completely seamless down to 10% airflow. You can choose the other fan speeds (Hi Med Lo) if you want to force the fan speed. Answering an earlier question. On the Gold Coast Qld the leap from an ESP+ to an Ultima is approx $1500. But we are all cutting each other throats to get work at the moment. Cheers Re: Actron in Perth 12Dec 08, 2010 2:47 pm Thanks Fridgy. Yes that's what i've done, i've selected ESP mode, but i find that the amount of airflow coming out of the outlet (when only 1 outlet/zone is selected) is still a little high. But when i select 2 outlets/zones the airflow settles down abit. Not sure why. 12 March 2010 - Land titles received 3 April 2010 - Signed building contract 14 April 2010 - Prestart 28 April 2010 - Loan approved 30 June 2010 - Slab completed 27 August 2010 - Brickwork completed 22 September 2010 - Roofing completed 30 September 2010 - Internal walls plastered 12 October 2010 - Lock Up 19 November 2010 - PCI 26 November 2010 - Handover 29 December 2010 - Moved In https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32584 Re: Actron in Perth 14Dec 08, 2010 5:51 pm Oh ok.....what's a 190 or 230? Mine's the 15kW ESP Plus. Sorry they are model numbers for SRV190 (19kW) and SRV230 (23kW). Yours being a 15kW this size should easily go down to one outlet. Cheers Re: Actron in Perth 16Dec 09, 2010 11:04 am Alright then. In ESP mode on one outlet, i can hear the air rushing out of the outlet....like a soft "whooshing" sound. I even tried adjusting the outlet grilles to full open but still no difference. Is this normal? If not do you think the installation/commissioning might be the issue here? Is it possible to adjust the fancoil/blower to make the lowest fan speed run even lower? 12 March 2010 - Land titles received 3 April 2010 - Signed building contract 14 April 2010 - Prestart 28 April 2010 - Loan approved 30 June 2010 - Slab completed 27 August 2010 - Brickwork completed 22 September 2010 - Roofing completed 30 September 2010 - Internal walls plastered 12 October 2010 - Lock Up 19 November 2010 - PCI 26 November 2010 - Handover 29 December 2010 - Moved In https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32584 Re: Actron in Perth 18Apr 13, 2011 3:43 pm Hi GroovyOne, I'll PM you later tonight the details of one of Actron installers we spoke to. Note in the end, after much research we ended up going with an Intelligent Life (not Actron). In our opinion the spec of the aircon unit was about the same as the Actron, plus we were sold on the individual temperature control per room and fresh air options. (we'll try do a detailed post over Easter on the system we went with and our reasons) Re: Actron in Perth 19Apr 13, 2011 4:13 pm Oooooooh, thanks firstbuild. So funny you mention Intelligent Life as I have spoken with them and am still speaking with them. I have heard a few bad things about I'Life..... Very difficult to decide who to go with. Any info/insight you have would be MUCH appreciated! I do like the sound of the Fresh Air Option but they are telling me I need a fixed speed unit which I am not understanding. Re: Actron in Perth 20Apr 13, 2011 10:30 pm PM sent re Actron installer and some of our initial aircon investigations. Re the "bad things" about IL (we had a range of views from installers from its ok to don't go near it with a 10ft barge pole). Our view the negative comments were mostly from competitors with their own interests (although our research seemed to show some of the earlier versions of their systems not being as reliable as Actron....) Re the fixed speed unit. A guess may be a small number of zones or with large open areas it may effect the control of the fan speed. I would definitely ask the question again - also by fixed speed unit I think it still has low/med/high fan which may cover the requirements anyway. I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13100 1 11005 1 4673 |
