They still use electricity though. Very expensive and require above average maintenance. Probably good if you have very big home with massive spaces to heat or cool. Hi Eve dweller, I think the GPAC units are about $22K for a 38squ home, will find out later today. For us, our builder has come back at the last moment saying that the Daikin ducting originaly quoted will not fit in the ceiling (low pitch 15deg) neither will dual Daikins... The upgrade for custom ducts is bringing the price back up over $20K, hence the GPAC exploration and hoping there is green value ! For our tastes, we would like to spend a bit more and not get split wall mounts.. Thanks for the tip on maintenance and Elec, I will ask the Yanmar installer when I meet him later today.
