We've bought a gas heater - and Escea IB850 for our living area but will have to install a reverse cycle air con - will probably look for an Actron. Acco, Stinson, Ford&Doonan, Crispair, etc... prices for the same system are about similar.. varies no more than $1500-2000 its really voices down to after service, good advice, and the add-ons to the system.... i m after a 20kw Daikin system, 9 zones, 14 outlets... about 19k Ducting usually 50mm, multi-directional plastic outlets, 2 controllers Re: Any recommended installers in Perth? 5Oct 24, 2010 12:15 am try boatman in the forum. he gave us the best quote but by then i had accepted the quote from Ford & Doonan. We got a 20KW for 17250. We also have 2 controls; upstairs and downstairs. They have been very good so far. We have PCI in two weeks.. Re: Any recommended installers in Perth? 7Oct 24, 2010 3:28 pm I have used Ford and Doonan a couple of times. I have always used the Mandurah branch. Guy down there called Cameron was very helpful with where to put systems and different options. Nathan Re: Any recommended installers in Perth? 9Nov 08, 2010 5:06 pm We tried three in Perth - one never got back to us so we won't mention them. Ford and Doonan/Needham Air both gave good quotes. There is a 10-15% cost differential between the "quality" brands and the "cheap" brands. There's also another 5-10% or so in the quality of ducting that is hidden out of sight in the ceiling, and in the more visible grills in the ceiling (Linear diffusers might look stylish, but streuth are they expensive compared to what you would think they should cost) FWIW we got more bang for buck from Needham Air - higher spec ducting, better accoustic insulation on the return air, and a slightly gruntier unit. Re: Any recommended installers in Perth? 10Nov 22, 2010 11:01 pm I'd go for something with room temperature control rather than the entire system personally. We had a daikin and the uneven cooling was annoying (although going from the evapourative it was great the first summer). We went through crispair... the after service has been great, the guy who comes around and services it is fantastic, even saved us a heap of money by giving us a free new filter, the guys who did the install were messy though. We had water leaking into our power box and through our roof, luckily hubby is a better sparky than theirs were and fixed it all up. Could have been very costly though. Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8996 A question.
