Can anyone recommend an insulation product that will effectively achieve this purpose? We plan to take a look at Bunnings tomorrow... Alternatively use a mass loaded vinyl behind the lining. Acoustic insulation is measured in STC reduction. Thermal insulation is measured in R values. I found that it has...we are not living there as yet but the dampening effect to the echo in the house is noticeable. This site lists a number of products: http://www.insulation.com.au/product.aspx?product_id=52 The Pink batts are much denser. Does that mean they will have better acoustic properties? And they seem to be around the same price.
