Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Sep 18, 2010 5:03 am Hi, can someone please give advice about Fujitsu air conditioning systems? We are from the Netherlands, not familiar at all with air con brands. The dealers are quite biased, I hope you can tell me something about your experiences? Some background info: our home will be in WA (Perth/Wellard), 230 m2, 5 zones. We are looking for an affordable system that is quiet and not too expensive in use. We prefer the reverse cycle (refrigerator) one. Thanks for your help! Anne My building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32809 Re: Fujitsu ducted reverse cycle air con? 2Sep 18, 2010 8:57 am Anne we have a fujutsu reverse cycle system. Fully ducted. We find it quite expensive to run but then I think any of them are. The brand has a fairly good reputation for the ducted systems from what we could gather. Slightly cheaper than the daiken's which are considered the top of the range. We've had ours for 1 summer and now 2 winters. I wasn't a fan of (refrigerator)type ducted aircons( having only experienced them in offices where they tend to be very drying) preferring the evaporative ones but I'm very happy with ours after having it for just over 12 months. It's certainly quiet enough. We have 6 zones on ours and usually run 2-4 of them at once but could run them all at once if we needed to. We now have a woodfire as well which we love as we like that real "heat feeling" and of course is cheaper to run. it heats our main living area where we spend about 90% of our time. But this isn't something I would advocate in the city. The Aircon warms the house and is great for when we've been out and want the house warmed up quickly or for steady just warmed /no chill factor heating. Or for heating up bedrooms just before bedtime. In the summer we found it worked very well. this summer we'll also have ceiling fans so may not use it as much. I do know of 2 sets of friends who have had problems with their fujitsu in the wall aircons though. Long waits for replacement parts that stopped working less than a month after the warranty ran out. Re: Fujitsu ducted reverse cycle air con? 3Sep 26, 2010 8:29 pm We've had ours for about 4 years and love it. We don't have any zones cos we have a small house but find it very comfortable for both summer and winter and have not had any issues with it. The inverter function makes it as efficient as possible.
