Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jul 22, 2010 9:19 pm Hi all I am wondering if someone can please help me out in regards to add-on cooling We built a 30sq single story house in Melbourne and the builder installed a 4 star Bonaire system. We had it zoned and the bigger ducts for add-on cooling. We would now like to put in the refrig cooling and I am not so sure. We are being quoted approx $8K to put in Bonaire add-on cooling. That is a lot of money for a system, for a system that is not known for their aircon. Does anyone have a Bonaire inverter add-on unit, how is it? Is it noisy, can I change the fan speed etc. What are my other options? If I wanted to do a dedicated refrigerated system from a respected brand ie Fujitsu, Daiken, Mitsubishi etc would I have to have more vents in the ceiling? What about a multi-head system, would that mean a full aircon unit on the wall in each bedroom? Thanks in advance for your help Kerrie Re: Air-Con advice Add On or something else 3Jul 23, 2010 11:03 pm I would recomend a actronair add on cooling system to your heater and i left out you can't change the fan speed with the add on units fan spped is always high so that the coil does not ice up How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5900 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
