Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jul 02, 2010 6:07 pm Hey everyone, I spent alot of time sifting through all the threads about all the different A/C's available and am still confused as ever!!! I've read through alot of info as well and I simply don't know which system to go for. The quotes and info I have given is based on a 3 bedroom house, with open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area and a study (20sqm includ. garage) Here are the facts and what do you guys think is the best way to go? And what brand are you currently using? Do you find that it's noisy? Coolbreeze 10 Manufacturing warranty Exhaust Mode (Acts like a Fan and helps expel stale air, cooking smells etc) Winter Seal (So no cold air gets in!) Price: unknown (waiting for quote) Brivis L43 Contour Series Aqua Save function (Uses less water) 3 Year Manufacturing warranty 6 Year workmanship warranty Includes network controller so you can program when it will switch on/off *Will be easier to go with Brivis as our heating unit is the same brand therefore only one network controller is needed Price: $4100 Bonaire Integra Auto dump function for water Winter Seal 5 Year Manufacturing Warranty Larger duct work included compared to Brivis system Wireless Controller Price: $3900 Re: Help with Evaporative A/C 2Jul 03, 2010 8:17 pm Hi, Ignore any previous incomplete messages, accidently hit send. I am also in the proess of looking to install EC, and had three companies over today. My house is very similar with 3 bedrooms, study, two living area and kitchen. All three companies suggested 7 outlets, with 16 inch (larger size) in the two living rooms. All three companies sold a range of Brands, but the mains ones recommended were Bonaire, Braemar and Breezair. Bonaire VSM65 Integra - $4329 but on sale to $3800 Breezair EXH150 - $4500 Braemar - $4200 Breezair - Quote to be ready in a couple of days Hope that helps. I am in Northern Melbourune, not sure if different states make a difference Re: Help with Evaporative A/C 3Jul 03, 2010 8:25 pm Thanks Muneca, I am very confused with all the information I have been given. Some have said the Bonaire is quite loud but performs better than others. The quote I got for a Braemar though was cheaper than yours. Only $4000 if you are interested let me know and I will past details onto you. Who do you think you'll end up going with? May I ask where you got your Bonaire quote from? Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7930 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12509 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 |
