Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jun 28, 2010 2:38 pm Gday all and sundry, Just trying to figure out if its cheaper to run my $20 1800 watt Kmart blow heater than it is to try and heat the room with my brand new 3.5 kw LG Split Cycle Heat Pumps? So far the little Kmart Blow heater is winning and heats a 15x30 room nicely in about 20 minutes while the Heat Pump is still battling to heat the room 4 hours later. Air temp at the blower on the Split is around 34-38 degrees when running at its best but it just dose not heat the place up? Are these Heat Pumps just a load of Hype? Have not had a summer to test the cooling side of the units yet Has anyone else found this or are all my brand new LG Inverter Splits stuffed Cheers Re: How many Watts make up a KW in Air conditioning terms? 2Jun 28, 2010 2:56 pm It sounds like your tubing may be compromised. Get a tech. to measure the heat / cooling output against specifications.
