Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 May 20, 2010 6:49 pm Please help or advice me what to do. we just moved to a new house and our Hot water sysytem is playing up. hot water last only for 3 min. and you need to wait or close the hot water and open it again which same thing happen again. i complained it alrdy to the builder ( sterling Homes) but they said Hand over of the house was done and they cant do anything. they said i need to contact the Bosch Company and complain to them which i did, they sent somebody to to look for it and see what is the problem. they advice me that the system they connected was in approriate for my house because i got 2 bathrooms, and the unit they put was design for one bathroom only. i got Bosch 16H. is it really ???? pls advice me.Thank You very much Re: Bosch 16H 2May 20, 2010 11:43 pm Normally a larger model would be used for two or more bathrooms, did Sterling specify that model or size unit in your contract? The unit you have should raise the temperature of the incoming cold water by 25º C at a flow rate of 16 l/min. If you are only running one shower or outlet and it has a flow rate of 16 l/min or less you should get constant hot water. If your total hot water usage exceeds 16 l/min (shower, kitchen, laundry all at the same time) the water temperature will reduce. When the hot water is hot and cold is the unit burning gas constantly? You should be able to hear the unit operating consistently when the shower is being used. Re: Bosch 16H 3May 21, 2010 10:20 am no, thats why im trying to ask them to replace the unit. i dnt knw if sterling will. do u thnk they shld dpecify the unit before the handover of the house? This is my 1st time , dats why got no idea. btw thanks for ur reply, really appreciate it. Re: Bosch 16H 4May 21, 2010 5:57 pm Is this one of the Bosch Hydra Units? We had one of these installed in our previous house in Perth to replace a storage gas hotwater. Hated it so much we ripped it out and replaced it with a gas storage unit again. Instantaneous water heaters don't like water saving shower heads sp you have to remove the flow restrictor inserts from all the shower heads. The flow restricters make the Bosch unit think the water has stopped flowing so it switches off. Our one in Perth eventually malfunctioned and sent boling water back up the cold mains blowing the pipe and sending a torrent of water up thru our paving. Absolute rubbish and Bosch didn't want to know about. It also marked the bricks above hwere it was installed with black soot. Bosch said it was because of burnt spider webs!! Yeah right! I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions. What is the function of the metal strip about 500mm long x 60mm wide the tell you to… 0 2696 |
