okies, i've been reading on this forum and others and i feel i have a grasp on the situation, but am still confused as all hell
situation - insulating a single brick garage with corrugated roof.
i know i need sarking (double sided reflective foil) to keep radiant heat out and as a vapour barrier.
for the roof - how do you install it?
does it attach to the corrugated roof directly? (if so, do i keep it taunt or do i follow the ripples of the corrugated?)
or should i attach it to the battons for the 25 mm air gap?
there will be air gap and then bulk insulation, and the ceiling plaster. should i install sarking between the bulk and ceiling as a vapour barrier? double sided or just single?
with walls, i installed single sided sarking glued directly to the wall, reflective side facing in.
should i change that to double sided sarking? and raise it away from the brick wall?
so in short, how to you install sarking properly in corrugated roof?
should i use it as a vapour barrier?
and when can i use single sided foil sarking instead of double sided?
thanks
