Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Mar 23, 2010 6:42 pm Sorry for the heading but I'm really getting frustrated here – i'm trying to get a quote to get an Actron system installed in the Melbourne region and am getting really frustrated. I have a new home and require 2 Actron units to be installed. One for downstairs and one for upstairs. The quotes I have been getting are outrageous – $33-37K for an actron 190 and 230 ultima installed. I was expecting the price for the actron 190 ultima to be around $13000 and $15000 for the actron 230 ultima – so $27-28K all up installed... It seems to me I'm paying about $5000 too much. A big a/c store in Boronia wanted $37000! If there are 'qualified' Actron installers in the Melbourne region could they pm me? I am happy to pay cash and don't require a receipt for the labour install if it will save some time/effort doing the paperwork. I've confirmed Actron will honour the warranty if it's not installed by the tech's that have done their dealer training if a unit packs up. They won't cover anything if the units operate as normal but the airflow/cooling is inadequate which is understandable I guess. I just need an installer who knows the in's and out's of the Actron Ultima range and who has installed the range. The house, located in the Eastern suburbs, is at the lockup stage so the plasterboard walls haven't gone up – my builder is waiting for the ducts to get installed so install should be easy. Looking to get this done in the next week or so so any pm's / referrals MUCH appreciated. Re: Actron install rip - Melbourne... 2Mar 25, 2010 11:44 am vrrr ...I was expecting the price for the actron 190 ultima to be around $13000 and $15000 for the actron 230 ultima – so $27-28K all up installed... Where did you get those prices from...? $37k is certainly around the figure I'd want for those... That's a fantastic result! Happy you got it sorted out. cheers Simeon 6 8651 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45569 It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options. Eufy, Arlo and… 2 9798 |
