Just after some advice about what brand swe should be looking at, what we should be steering clear of and which ones are the essential one to get quotes for. So far from reading the posts I can see that it might be a good idea to stay clear of LG, but look into Dakin and ActronAir. Any advice? Painting finished, time to tile! You can make a dramatic difference to your aircon bill if you do these things as well. When I liked some makers, even usually good ones like Fujitsu were behind the times. Not as efficient as say, ActronAir. Make sure you ask for all the zones *you* want, not what they reckon you need. For instance most installers suggested we group all the bedrooms as one zone - but each of our 3 kids feel the heat differently, zoning separately was a *great idea* (for us). We have 8 zones. Also if you have a two storey house get 2 controller/temp-sensors. As another poster said, look at everything else to: blinds, windows, eaves, colours, sarking, insulation etc etc in order to minimise the need for air.con - we did that and our power bill through summer was the same as the 3 months before air.con season! We only need a.c on very hot or humid days and even then for 30 to 60 minutes bursts. How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5933 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
