Generally, (and based on batts), the installer will place the batts in the hard/tight edges before the plasterboard is installed. They will often place unopened bales in the ceiling space. After the ceiling plasterboard is in and often after the sparkies have returned for their final fitoff, the insulation people crawl up into the ceiling to open and layout the batts. So don't be alarmed just yet. Re: Ceiling insulation 3Mar 23, 2010 12:45 am We have the same, plasters on, cornices done, skiting done and still no roof batts. So I asked about it and they said it'll be installed during the fixing stage of the build. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 Re: Ceiling insulation 4Mar 24, 2010 2:58 pm We have now completed the fixing stage Eg Kitchen is in, wall tiles & floor tiles etc. But still no insulation. We're just waiting on the heating/cooling vents to be fitted off, then they'll be installed. I wouldn't panic. Found the answer.
