Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 31, 2010 3:32 pm We have a Hitachi reverse cycle split system a/c in our house at the moment that needs some help. A couple of years ago, in a true blonde moment, I lit a candle and put it on top of our enteratinment unit... roughly 25 - 30cm under the air con. Hot candle + plastic air con = melted face plate (I was heavily pregnant at the time and not thinking). Consequently, we have a bit of melted plastic on the unit. It still works fine, just looks pretty bad and we are putting the house on the market in a few months so I need to pretty it up. Last time we had it serviced, the guy that came out said he would chase up the parts for us, but we never heard back from him. Does Hitachi have a spare parts section? I don't care if we have to get it sent from overseas somewhere, I just want it fixed. The air con is in the middle of the lounge room wall and sticks out like a sore thumb and I really want it to look a bit better. Any suggestions on how to get in touch with Hitachi?
