I need to get some idea of whether this is a good price or not so I can get my finance application in and start building our new home, so does this sound reasonable... Single storey house located in Newcastle 27 square (251 sqm) Air conditioning to be installed during construction Daikin Inverter 18 - 22kw 3 phase power 6 zones quoted $13,600 How does that compare? I have been trying to get quotes on Daikin, Actron as well as any other brand they can suggest, but we are running out of time to get quotes in.. Thanks! Nic. Hi, I'm not sure what Daikin 18 - 22kW means, near that size they have three models an 18kW, 20kW and 22kW, even if it's the 18kW that's a good price IMHO. Make sure it's an inverter not hybrid or conventional compressor model, get the *exact model number* in the quotes, the non-inverter's are about $1-2k cheaper. Definitely squeeze a quote for an Actron ESP, ESP+ or Ultima in there. Make sure you get all the zones you want, more is better, especially with Actron it will scale back very well. Don't put all the bedrooms in one big zone. I have 8 zones, each bedroom in a separate zone, very glad I did that. Good luck. Re: How is this price for a Daikin Inverter? 3Jan 29, 2010 12:40 pm ~Nic~ ...so does this sound reasonable... Sounds fine to me... but as mentioned get the exact model number because those numbers are wrong... The 18kW cooling unit is rated 20kW heating and the 20kW cooling is rated 22kW heating, so clearly there's some confusion... Also I wouldn't be too worried about getting an inverter... the 20kW hybrid is a cracking bit of kit and $2k cheaper than the 20kW inverter... it'll take a very long time before you burn that in extra electricity... Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7053 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35305 Just to makea point about this, an approach that some people have found sucessful in negotiating these rises down, Is to provide some workings to the builder, specifying… 4 81667 |
