I dont want to remove all the plaster to install batts, the house is a BV 50 years old.... I am waiting on one quote and was told only 2 places in Melb do it but I dont know who the other on is.. The blow in stuff is cellulose based (typically) recyled paper. Rockwool is made of spun molten volcanic rock and is supplied in relatively stiff batts. Cosywrap in Adelaide do blow in Rockwool, however they appear to be an Adelaide only company. http://www.cosywrap.com.au/files/Insula ... l%20A4.pdf We're about to look at getting this done, however cosywrap are the only company in Adelaide who do this so there's no competition to keep the prices down. It's quite common in the UK - shame it's not eligible for the insulation rebate though. Re: Blow in Rockwool wall insulation-who does it? 4Jan 25, 2010 10:49 pm Well I had a company tell me they did it in fact he gave me all the info so he organised a guy to come do a quote... but now he doesnt want the job so back to where I started. cant find anyone in Melb to do this...but have emailed that cosywrap company for some contacts, fingers crossed. I am saying that double brick has similar thermal performance due to thermal mass effect.
