Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 03, 2010 10:56 am When I got married my wife owned a house in Queensland about an hour inland from Mackay. It is an older highset house originally built by the sugar mill for one of the managers. I have never lived in this house, so I cannot provide too many details regarding materials used and spacings, etc., as we are still in freezing Melbourne. However, we will be returning to the Land of Plenty this year and we will be living in this house, so I need to find out a few things. It has what is apparently called a 'wraparound roof'. It is a corrugated iron roof, low-angled gable and has pretty much no ceiling cavity to speak of, although the ceilings are flat so obviously there must be a small space there. I wonder if anybody has any information on ways to install some decent insulation (I don't even know if it has any at all, whatever is there was put in when the house was built in the sixties). Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Re: Insulating a wraparound roof 2Mar 23, 2010 1:55 pm I'm going to keep an eye on your post as we will be putting in some roof insulation aswell.
