Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Dec 26, 2009 9:28 pm I have recently got a quote for 9 outlets for a Breezair EXH210 unit the cost was $5400 fully installed, is this a reasonable price considering we are already in Summer, do companies charge more during the summer than during spring or winter. I was told that they were also the best on the market compared to Bonair and Brivis. Any feedback would much appreciated Thanks Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 3Dec 31, 2009 5:37 pm Hi we received a quote today for 9 outlets and it was $5600 so that's better than what we got. I believe breezair are one of the best but I'm a tight *** and refuse to pay $5600. Who did you get your quote from? Cheers Mel Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 4Jan 01, 2010 4:42 pm Hi Mel the quote was from Coldflow in Springvale the price was actually $5469 but Weatherworld in Mentone said they would do it for $5400, speaking to a few dealers they hinted at the fact that Weatherworld might not be around to deal with problems with the unit years down the track. I had Breezair at my other house for 9 years and except for one hiccup at the start we had no problems at all with the unit. Where did you get your quote from? Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 5Jan 29, 2010 5:11 pm My word of warning is about if they break down. I have a bonaire and the service charge from Climate Technologies was $165 call out fee ( includes 1st 30 minutes) and the wait for it $44 per 15 minutes after that, and then if you need them to come out again on the same service call because they didn't have the parts, its $66.00 per 15 minutes. The service guy was here for several hours. Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 7Mar 14, 2010 9:46 pm I believe Bonaire is better than Breezeair. Our Bonaire came standard with our build. Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 8Mar 15, 2010 4:40 pm We had Breezair in our house in Perth for almost 18 years until we sold it. Only problem was bearings in the motor went once and I removed it and took it to a local electrical motor rewind factory and they repaired it for me. I think that cost $40. We had the auto water dumper as well (dumps water when salt level gets above certain point). I would service it before and after summer myself (ie clean pads and water, drain and check belt tension.) Re: Are Breezair evaporative cooling the best and cost 9Mar 16, 2010 10:58 am Hi, I have Bonaire VSL70 installed with 9 outlets for 7 years. 3 years ago, the fan played up as the motor starter capacitor got gel leaked in a mess. Other smaller capacitors on the circuit board inside the control unit above roof had also the traces of leakage. Replacement of those items got the fan going again for last 3 years. Now the fan is loosening from the motor shaft as the plastic sleeve securing the fan to the motor shaft has worn out and has to be replaced. This time the unit doesn't last long before the new sleeve is loosening again. We are in Melbourne and generally it's manageable to have the unit running at highest BOOST mode. Thinking about to repalce the whole unit with Breezair, I have heard people said it's the best and gets least problems. Wonder if anybody has experience of using it long enough to confirm and tell more about any problems along with it. I really don't want to waste thousands of dollars and get into troubles again after another 7 years during which we use the cooling unit at the most 1 to 2 months in the year. Thanks in advance. Hi, I'd like some advice on the best option please on the estimate options we've been provided from our builder. This is for the… 0 4064 1 10997 4 9048 |
